New fandabbydozy cover for Sign of the Times

Right guys, here we go!!
Ta da!
Here is the revamped cover for Sign of the Times, courtesy of my new cover designer.  He's a secret for now, but I shall share him at some point real soon!
The reason for changing the cover is all down to building a brand, a phrase which is all too true, but which I am actually sick hearing..
But, since I have at least four books planned, I want all the covers to have a similar feel to them - instantly recognisable as a Susan Buchanan cover, hence the change.
So, whaddya think?

Anyway, I love my new cover. Even my other half, who made the original cover, loves the new cover and his petted lip has been pulled back in, since realising he now doesn't need to help me innovate & prepare new covers over the next few weeks when he's on vacation! And just as importantly, Drill Sergeant, editor, Fi Broon, loves the cover too. Phew! What a relief! Everybody happy.  So, now comes the real question, will the readers like it? I bloomin' hope so!

Check back in Friday - for my first ever author interview (we know I've done some, but this is me interviewing another author, but who?)

And remember, you can pick up the newly improved Sign of the Times via the following links:-

    1. thanks Tomas - the silhouettes of the characters won me over. Love the idea that I will have a similar look for the next few novels too.

  4. I like this much, much more than the old cover, but it's good that it's the same colours so people already familiar with SotT will still recognise it. Very clever indeed, and I'm looking forward to seeing the others! x

    1. hi Jo, thanks! Yes, the blue was very important to me. I, too, am looking forward to seeing the others. I will reveal it officially elsewhere, but my cover designer is Brad Covey, who is also a fellow writer. But he's a professional designer. http://www.bradcovey.com/ I believe mine is one of his first book covers, although he has designed many other things as you can see from his website.
